The first coast guard ship in the Province of Canada was the Doris, a seagoing paddle steamer bought in 1850.
This is the HMCS GLACE BAY, a Canadian, Kingston class navel vessel. She is between the Snell and the Eisenhower locks, in the lower Seaway. They (with the 700 - HMCS KINGSTON) are making their way to Kingston, Ontario for the Canada Day Celebrations of 2004.
